It really was an informative session for me personally because one of the aspects that I loved about this course specifically is the nature of interaction that we had. It was not in relation to any specific tools or technologies. Rather, it was concept-oriented and used a lot of practical and realistic examples that really helped me personally in thinking with a different perspective. I had the opportunity to attend this CIPR course, delivered by Amar Singh. I found this course very interesting. Today, I have learnt a few things which obviously give me a lot of ideas to work with in my daily operations like the concept of risk management for incident response and planning, and the artefacts which we maintain. These are the two things which added a lot of value to my experience in this field. Apart from this, the important point I have learnt is how to translate technical language into business language and how to address complex situations in a more convincing manner with the management. In a nutshell, this course obviously helped me to understand business needs and how to translate business needs into an incident response plan. I really feel happy and thankful to Amar Singh, and CM-Alliance who designed this course.

I attended this course to enhance my understanding of incident response and planning. In this course, I have enhanced my understanding of corporate communications and how to pursue with the management regarding their buy-in on incident response plans. And the most important aspect that I have learnt from this whole course was how to maintain a list of our critical components and the controls which are implemented on those components. I have also come to know about a new aspect of risk management that could be done for our information assets. I am very thankful to Amar Singh from CM-Alliance as today, I got a chance to learn new things in cybersecurity. I have been in the industry for 19+ years and I have done PT testing in the initial stages and moved on with the latest technology. But when we try to get in touch with new people who are currently into SOC management or the SIEM, the concept that they have gone through is totally different from my learnings and they are ahead in their understanding of tools, etc. Further, when it comes to explaining the issues before board members, it becomes very difficult for us as we hire salespersons to explain the issues before board directors. But today what we have been taught is how to explain the technical issues to everyone.

I am a freelance compliance and risk management professional providing solutions for customers. This CIPR course was a real eye-opener about how to practically govern the cyber incident response plan. There are a lot of customers who tend to provide feedback if they are not clear about something, especially on technical issues. This course has given us the insight on how to divide the technical and business language take it to the board level and get their buy-in. I have joined this training to learn more about cybersecurity. I have really got a more contemporary feel of that because I have been away from it for a while. This course has a very interesting approach, and I liked the concept of the triangle getting the 70% BAU automated so you can focus more on the most advanced attacks. The trainer is very well experienced. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and look forward to any other trainings that may come up.
