The client's specific objectives with the exercise were as follows:

• Raising awareness of the true impact that a ransomware attack could have on their specific business.
  
  
• Enhancing the management and the team’s preparedness to respond to ransomware attacks and cyber-attacks.
  
  
• Validating their existing Incident Response, Recovery and Communications plans. 

How Cyber Management Alliance Enabled Ashling Partners to Achieve its Objectives

Here are some of the ways in which the Ransomware Tabletop Exercise helped the client achieve their objectives: 

• A senior and highly experienced practitioner was assigned to Ashling Partners to plan, produce, and conduct the tabletop session.
  
  
• As is the practice at CM-Alliance, the practitioner conducted a thorough fact finding and planning session before producing the content for the cyber-attack
  tabletop session.
  
  
• The cyber tabletop exercise was conducted in a way that made the cyber-attack scenario feel real and relevant for the participants.
  
  
• Participants were encouraged to think like and respond as they would in an actual crisis.
